Description
This is a beautiful MAUVE (Deep purplish pink) colored, antique Majolica 6 well OYSTER PLATE – made by MINTON in the late 19th century. Each of the 6 wells is divided with a colorful design of Shells & Seaweed in relief. The Turquoise center well is surrounded with a ring of textured scallop shells.
Marked
: on the underside with several marks including an impressed ‘MINTON’ stamp along side the number ‘1323’ and a raised English Registry mark – the year symbol (an X inside a circle) for 1882.
Measurements
: 9″ diameter, each well is 3″ wide, the center well is 2.75″ wide, .75″ high edge.
